Klincus Corteccia

In the "Klincus Corteccia" books by Alessandro Gatti a 9-year-old boy named Klincus ends up in a town hidden deep in the magical forest. Klincus is the largest person in town, standing three times taller than anyone else.

The series focuses on adventure, with the size difference being mostly the source of an occasional gag. I found the first 4 books (out of 10) in Russian.
